An Exhibition of water colours painted by Major William
Faithfull Anderson of the Royal Engineers who was a POW in Colditz during
World War II from 1941-45 can be seen in the Guardhouse in Colditz Castle.
Materials were provided through the Red Cross and the pictures were allowed
to be sent back to England by the German authorites. A number of the pictures
were exhibited in England and Scotland during World War II to raise
money to help Prisoners of War. Examples of his
work are shown on the following pages.
